Permissions for the requirements module

Access to the requirement features are based on a user's permissions, which can be modified by a Project Owner in the Members tab under a project's primary Info tab. 

Below is an outline of the permissions available for the requirements module: 

  • General requirements module access
    • A user with at least view access to the requirements module will have the Requirements tab available. 
  • View Access
    • Private
      • User can view requirements for which they are the owner/contributor/reviewer
    • User Organization
      • User can view requirements for which they are the owner/contributor/reviewer
      • User can view requirements created by members of their organization
    • Host and User Organization
      • User can view requirements for which they are the owner/contributor/reviewer
      • User can view requirements created by members of their organization
      • User can view requirements created by members of the host organization
    • Public
      • User can view all requirements added to the project
  • Edit Access 
    • User can create requirements, edit the root requirement details
    • Requirement version owners can derive new requirement versions
    • Requirement version owners and contributors can add/remove contributors and reviewers
  • Delete Access
    • User can delete requirements (restrictions apply to which requirements can be deleted)
