Permissions for the tasks module

Access to task features is based on a user's permissions, which can be modified by a Project Owner in the Members tab under a project's primary Info tab. 

Below is an outline of permissions in the task module: 

  • General tasks module access
    • A user with at least view access to the tasks module will have the Tasks tab available
  • View Access
    • Private 
      • User can view tasks for which they are the reporter/assignee/watcher
    • User Organization
      • User can view tasks for which they are the reporter/assignee/watcher
      • User can view tasks created by members of their organization
    • Host and User Organization
      • User can view tasks for which they are the reporter/assignee/watcher
      • User can view tasks created by members of their organization
      • User can view tasks created by members of the host organization
    • Public
      • User can view all tasks added to the project
  • Edit Access
    • User can create tasks and subtasks
    • User can edit base attributes and related entities of tasks
    • User can import tasks with a CSV file
  • Delete Access
    • User can delete tasks (restrictions apply to which tasks can be deleted)
