Test case templates allow users to save existing test cases as templates and use them across all projects. These can be used to quickly build test cases in projects, and the test cases can then be modified to suit the needs of a project or product.
Test case templates are available under the Test Coverage primary tab and the Test Case Templates secondary tab. Templates can be created from an existing test case in the Test Cases secondary tab.
When test cases are created, they become available system wide so that the template will also appear in the Test Case Templates tab of other projects. The attributes saved in the template include the test case's preconditions, action and expected results steps, test case type, and flow and mode choices.
Users will need public view access in the test coverage module to have access to the test case templates tab. To save test case templates, users will need edit access.
