Two step authentication can be enabled to increase account security. There are two options:
- Add Email - Use the email registered on the account. At login, user name and password credentials will need to be entered, plus a 6 digit one time password (OTP) sent to the email address.
- Add Authenticator App - Use a free authenticator app (Google Authenticator). At login, user name and password credentials will need to be entered, plus a 6 digit code from the authenticator app.
To enable this feature, click on the user avatar in the top right corner, and choose My Profile from the dropdown. Click on Add Authentication Step and select an option from the dropdown. (Alternatively, if 2FA is not yet enabled, you may click on the user avatar in the top right corner. In the dropdown, choose 2FA to begin the setup process.)
- To set up the email authentication step, an OTP will be sent to the email to verify and turn on two step authentication. Once verified, a different code will be sent to that email during each login after entering in the username and password. A notification will be sent to the email on the account that 2FA has been turned on.
- To set up the Google Authenticator app, scan the barcode shown in Xebrio with the app or enter in a code manually to add a user. Once added, a 6 digit code from the app will be needed at each login after entering username and password credentials. Note that authenticator app will change the code after a certain number of seconds.
