Disabling or deactivating two step authentication / two factor authentication (2FA)

To disable two step authentication / two factor authentication (2FA), click on you user avatar in the top right corner and select 2FA to go to the Security and Authentication screen. In the section labeled, Two Step Authentication, there will be a Deactivate button. 

 

 

With an email authentication step, a pop up will appear to confirm you would like to deactivate. Click Yes to continue and a one time password (OTP) will be sent to the email on the account. Enter and verify the OTP received in your email and click Deactivate. An email will be sent as a notification that two step authentication has been turned off. 

 

 

With the authentication app, a pop up will appear to confirm you would like to deactivate. Click Yes to continue and enter the 6 digit code shown on the authenticator app. After the code has been verified, click Deactivate. An email will be sent as a notification that two step authentication has been turned off. 

 

 

Contact your system Admin if you have any issues with two step authentication.
