Disabling or deactivating two step authentication / two factor authentication (2FA)

To disable two step authentication / two factor authentication (2FA), click on you user avatar in the top right corner and select user-fill.svg My Profile in the dropdown. In the section labeled, Two Step Authentication, there will be a green toggle button green_toggle.png next to your authentication method. Click the toggle to disable.

 

 

With an email authentication step, a pop up will appear to confirm you would like to deactivate. Click Confirm to continue and a one time password (OTP) will be sent to the email on the account. Enter the OTP received in your email and click Deactivate. An email will be sent as a notification that two step authentication has been turned off. 

 

 

With the authentication app, a pop up will appear to confirm you would like to deactivate. Click Confirm to continue and enter in the 6 digit code shown on the authenticator app. After the code has been verified, click Deactivate. An email will be sent as a notification that two step authentication has been turned off. 

 

 

Contact your system Admin if you have any issues with two step authentication.
